What are Dock Bumpers used for?

Dock Bumpers are a great tool for absorbing impact damage in busy loading docks, warehouses and loading bays. They provide protection for trailers, trucks and motor vehicles.

Where should I install my Dock Bumpers?

Seton recommends installing your Dock Bumpers near the lip of your loading dock. 5 to 10 centimetres below the lip of your loading dock should provide ample protection to motor vehicles reversing into your dock. If you’re concerned about walls and barriers around your facility, it could be worth installing dock bumpers on walls that share traffic with pedestrians and trucks.

Can this product be used outdoors?

This product is designed for use outdoors. It is made from a rugged moulded rubber that is sun, salt and oil resistant. Seton recommends using this product correctly and to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Do these Dock Bumpers come with bolts for installation?

No, this product does not come with bolts for installation. However, it does come with pre-drilled mounting holes to make installation easy. Simply mark your placement holes by placing the Dock Bumper against the wall and counter drill the holes to the necessary depth required.

How heavy is this product?

This product weighs only 6.9kgs, making it a very lightweight and portable option for businesses that need a dock bumper that is easy to install and move.

Is this dock bumper certified to any Australian or New Zealand Safety Standards?

There is currently no known Australian Standard for dock bumpers, however, this product has been rigorously tested in real world conditions by the manufacturer. Like many Seton products, this dock bumper comes with a manufacturer's 12 month warranty.
